Default repainting brembos

did a search for this and came up empty, so Ill just go ahead and ask.

If I want to repaint my brembos, I am assuming I will need to strip the existing paint off of them. Any good products to do this with? Or should I just use regular 'ole paint stripper, sandpaper and elbow grease?

I also found the brembo stencils online also, so if anyone was looking here you go.

Thanks

Unless they're flaking stripping is not required. Use G2 caliper paint available at www.tirereack.com. It goes on with a brush & dries like glass. You don't even neet to remove the calipers.

Best way to strip them is with kleen-strip heavy duty stripper from home depot, then finish up with a dremel and wire brush attachments.

and here are some that I powdercoated in my shop.

btw, those eagle day stencils are too big for the rear brembo. you will only be able to do the brembo logo on the rears, like in the black brakes above. I have since sourced a different stencil supplier that makes them in the correct sizes.

Wow those look really nice man. I want mine exactly like that, but yellow with black lettering. If I had a simple way of letting you do mine without having to drive to atlanta or ship the calipers in the mail, Id love to let you do it. However, as it stands, I hate where I live, its impossible to get anything done like this. When I go to a body shop and ask them to do it, they just kind of give me a blank stare. So, alas, I will have to do it myself. If you could hook me up with some of those correct sized stencils, I would really appreciate it. Just give me a price and Ill mail you a money order if you would like.

Thanks for all the help.

Oh yea, forgot to ask. Will I have to bleed these things and take them off, or can I just remove them from the rotor and paint them? I hate bleeding brakes. hate it.

If you are going to just paint them most people mask off the area around the calipers and paint them installed.
