Well, if you would read the quote that he used in his post, someone else was asking how much the tails for the 03 were, hence the link for the old tails.

I beg to differ. The LED's I have in my front turn signals are id say 90% as bright as the original OEM ones. That use *15* Leds and have side firing LED's along the base that reflect of the reflectors int he housing.

I dont see how these will be plug and play....splicing will likely be needed to retrofit them onto the previous year cars...but we'll have to wait and see

I agree. But Nissan could have wired all the LED's to one plug, and left the plug the same as the older modes, very not likely.

i retrofitted LED tail lights on my 2000 bmw 3 series with the 2004 LED tail lights. they had a harness that made them a direct plug and play. the only thing that was wrong was that the blinker had a fast blink due to the LED's not sending enough wattage to the computer. its the same problem you get if you change your front turn signals to LEDs. if you add a resistor they should work perfectly fine.

I will have to agree. Retrofitting the BMW new LED rear tails is plug and play, and so will the new 06 Z LED tails. But the downside will be the rapid blinkers...then again...since the blinkers are not directly linked to the rear brake lights on the Z vs the BMW 3 series...we're gonna have to find out when they come in. But my .02 cents would have to bet that the harness will link up just fine.

ARES - Interested in a little business venture?

I would buy the pair for $50 more if they were plug-n-play (includes resistor)

Damn you got me excited! I checked every dealership in a 40 mile area and was unable to find a dealership with 06's!

I have a good friend from high school that works at a nissian dealership, wonder if I give him a bill maybe he will let me take a 06 home and switch the lights

Spending 300 + to get tails is a waste. Rather save the money make payments or something else. Dont want to front like I am an '06 anyways.

low beam and high beam consist of the same assembly and bulb. they usually use a shield that moves to change the light output.

the 03-05's had a seperate housing for the high beam which was halogen.
