Default How are the knee pads attached in an 05?

Kneepads, I think thats what they are called. Anyway, anyone know how they are attached? I want to wrap them in Burnt Orange to match the rest of my interior. I'm assuming they may be glued, when we had the stereo out, I didn't see anything on the inside of the console. I just didn't want to start pulling on them and break something. I've attached a pic.

I'll take some tonight and either post here, or in my audio thread.

well the 04s are attached via melted plugs. they have pre-drilled holes, they put in the kneepad and then they melt the plugs into the plastic so they stick.

if your thinking about removing them to put a different color, your gonna have to reglue them back..

I was thinking of doing the same thing with mine, only in red vinyl.

I wrapped my arm rests myself (I noticed yours are tan too!) but after looking at everything I decided it was to much red....so I went back to black.

Nice dash and Ipod mount, you've gone all out.
