"Inspector Loose-Ho"...that killed me

I'm going to try to make it to the meeting. It's difficult for me to get there by 7 with traffic. I usually make the decision that night depending on when I finish work and how I feel about 1hr 45min of stop and go traffic. Both StrictlyZ and CourtesyNissan have some pretty good shots up on their websites. PM me if you need any more info.

Did you say "RRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOM?"

Angry Dealer drilled holes! Fixable?

Talk about MAD!

I just picked up my Z the other night and the front of the car had the license bracket on the front bumper. I didn't realize it was drilled into the bumper until I took it off when I got home and saw the 2 holes! I'm from Pennsylvania and the car was shipped from Tennessee. I did check with some folks from Tennessee to see if maybe the dealer down there put it on because I thought that maybe they require the plates in the front and rear. Not the case. So, what dealer in their right mind would drill 2 holes into a brand new vehicle without reason? Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, was it fixed, and does it look ok now? Can they fix it??

Thank you all in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Wes

Default THEIRS VS MINE

I THINK I THE PLATE LOOKS GREAT, BUT DOES THE PLATE THERE BLOCK THE AIR FROM GETTING TO THE RADIATOR?

I'm sure it'll be fine. I didn't know you included photos and whatnot. Thanks for the offer of assistance!

Humpa....very sorry your dealer was so inconsiderate..in talking to many dealers about my front plate bracket I am finding that more and more are not drilling the bumper holes..I did a search for you and you might want to check here

http://www.bumperplugs.com/

Outside of replacing your bumper this seems to be the only alternative.

Kmbzz...I have driven my car in LA traffic for months now with the plate in the center grill position...haven't noticed any change in my temp guage reading...wish I had a real temp guage so I could get more precise readings...Other than saying that, I do reccomend that if you are going to do any severe driving, a track day, for example, that you remove the plate and bracket. Again, if you are going to tow your car you do need to remove the plate and bracket as it does cover the tow hook receptical.

I would suggest a black front frame to make the plate appear smaller.

Steve..just a quick repeat that the frame is not included with the bracket kit...BTW..anyone that has installed their 'Zee-Bracket'...if you send me a good quality jpeg of your install, I'll use it, with your permission, on our new 'Zee-Bracket' web page

Check it out

Just had to say thanks to all that have ordered a 'Zee-Bracket'

In a little over a month we have sold almost 200 of the little devils

Nissan dealers accross the country are starting to offer them to their customers in lieu of drilling holes...a good thing

Thanks again to all that helped get us off the ground

Hey, Pat. I'll take some pics of my car with your bracket this weekend, provided the weather is nice. I really like your design and it went on flawlessly. I cringed when I drilled the holes, but it sure does look better than the OEM bracket! I've already had a couple local Zers comment on it...

Here I thought I was the only one with this idea. I made mine out of PVC and screwed in into where the tow hook goes. I did it mostly to get out of a fix it ticket, and then decided to leave it on. Had it on for almost a year with no issues, even hit a rabbit with it. Luckily the dealer didn't drill my bumper either. best part was it only cost me $6 to do it!

Yeah, definitely not the first one to think of this, as you can see they thought of this 6 years ago, and there have been many others between then and now. You are officially the last person to think of this.
