Default Vertical doors??

I was interested in putting lambo doors on my '03 350z. does anyone have any comments that put vertical doors on their car? are they worth it? some people are telling me that the doors are too flimsy? any comments/suggestions on this would help me out a lot. thanks.

I had the VDC Kit on but just took em off after 2yrs, when doors are up there are a lil flimsy. Only negative things i gotta say about them is that if not installed/lined up correctly they will rip your door interior panels and when the shocks go, you gotta take off your front bumper/fenders send the shocks and wait to get some new ones...Other than that they are a real head turner.

Is 2 years the normal life expectancy for the shocks?

I think the shocks are susposed to last around 2 years, depending on how many you are using, how heavy the door is and how often you use them.

I am just having my install finished. The doors are not flimsy in my opinion, but each kit is different. Ican say the install of the GT Factory doors can be VERY time consuming and the interior door panels need a lot of work to fit properly...

Do your research and make an informed decision, is all I can say.

Where did you purchase your kit from? Also, obviously bracketing is different for every car in each kit but I was wondering if the actual shocks were different for each car? (i.e., are the shocks made specifically for the weight of the car door you are using them for?)

So what was the average life of the shocks on the actual Lambo's? There has to be a quality kit out there that will last longer than 2 years.

you need to buy a new door panel for this. $400 for fiberglass and $800 for CF.
