Default PIAA LED Foglights + Hardwired Radar Detector + Homelink w/compass

Wanted these for a long time, cause i'm not a big fan of those big round foglights sitting behind the grill. Saw a couple Z's with the rectangular foglights, but I wanted something different. Voila, PIAA LED Foglights!

Installed them last 2 last weekend, and finished the wiring for the switch last weekend. I didn't like the blue glass in the front, so I replaced it with a clear glass to match the headlights.

Also installed the new Homelink Mirror with compass and hardwired my radar detector... here are pics :-

Foglights used:-
PIAA Deno-3 LED Foglights (12 LED's in each) $149.99

Removal of Front Bumper for installation:-

Installed:-

Rocker Switch dremelled :-

Fuse box wiring:-

Driver's under-panel removed for switch installation:-

Final Product:-
OFF:-

ON:-

If anyone has any questions about wiring, etc, i'd be happy to let you know how to avoid f**kups! (I did mess up my A/c blower, realized last night i blew both the 15 amp fuses... lol)

Warren, the last pic is hella agressive. Makes the Z look like a shark or something. I'm on the fence for foglights. On my bro's old Audi, the fogs would always be broken because of small rocks etc. on the freeway..how can you prevent that from happenning? Those are damn near $200, I'm not trying to lose that b/c of a stupid pebble.

I'd be interested in seeing pics of the beam pattern at night to see if these are for looks or actually help with light output.

desiZ, those are the exact foglights I would like to install. Do you still have those pics somewhere? The host that you had those pics on no longer is up or has them.

Thanks.

Nice install!!! Can you comment on whether you think the fogs help with your visability at night?

Thanks for the pics!

Can you talk more about the mounting process? That is what I will be doing myself. Did you just screw it into those plastic covers?

I think I am a bit too scared to do the fog light switch install, I'll just hook the wires up to the parking light wires and take out my ugly yellow day-light running bulbs(it's Canadian required). That way the fog light will always be on and will act as my day-running light in the day time for regulation's sake.

And yes, this mod(for me) will be mostly for looks
