I don't think it'll be that difficult. You can have them paint the bases DB while they're doing your car.
And BTW, Darren @ Intense makes the ordering process eazzzzzzzzzzzy!

Yeah, same story here. Some pics its hot, some pics its way to high.
Would they just chop the stem and then like re-weld it together?
Screw it. After I get this new computer set up I'm gonna order them.

Look back for a couple of Cheston's comments. We should be able to cut off the threaded end(cut to length) then retap/rethread the end you cut off. Sounds simple enough.

BTW, I really like the view from inside the car. the mirrors give better coverage than the stock ones. From inside the car the mirrors are perfect height for me (i am 5'8"). From the outside, the stems look fine, sometimes high depending on the angle you are looking at them. I might modify the stems but i right now, i am happy with the mirrors. More pics to come.

Hello,
I agree 100%. They provide better visibility than stock, the only drawback being, of course, that they're manual. I also agree with your analysis of the stem, height as well. I think that in the pictures, they look too high, but in person, and while driving, they're perfect (I'm 6'1")..

I ordered mine Darren, hope you got it. Look forward to the same good experience I had with the Veilside V1 side underwings.
I have my Craftsman metric tap and dies ready, however, I am going to withhold judgement until I have a look for myself (5'8" or 68" tall). I do know that I look down at the stock mirrors, although not much.
I will miss my "objects in mirror appear to be losing" decal.
Questions for Intense (Darren)
1. Are replacement mirror glass pieces available?
2. Are the mirrors reflective from the back or from the front?
(want to know to see if they can be etched)
Thanks!!!

Hello,
Thanks for your order.
1. Yes, they're available. They will only be sold as a pair, however, and pricing is unavailable at this time.
2. If I understand your question, yes, like other automotive glass, the mirrors are reflective from the back to the front.
Hope this helps. D.

Autotecknic here...
The mirrors are nice (although they seem a little "chincy" maybe b/c they are so light) and the silver CF weave is pretty solid. For an aftermarket mirror I think they are about as cool as it comes, but my car has a more "luxury" look to it and these are pretty "rAcey"... Either way, I took an hour or two to install them so I'm leaving them on a while. Let me know what y'all think. They obviously sit higher than OEM, but it's actually a cool perspective looking into them and the visibility is much better than OEM. The mirror sits higher than stock; thus above the wide rear fenders and it makes a big difference.
On with some pics:
