I was looking at my 2006 Z front turn signal bulb today because I am looking to change from amber to super white.

I noticed that the front turn signal bulb has 2 filaments inside and referring to my user manual, it's a 28/8W bulb. ie. One filament is 28W and the other filament is 8W.

However, I never see and do not recall that the 8W filament in the front turn signal bulb is ever used. The front turn signals, uses the 28W filament. Turning on the parking light does not turn the 8W filament ON either.

Anyone know if the 8W filament inside the front turn signal bulb is ever used?
Is this the same for the 2003-05 Zs?
