replacing shift ****, what can go wrong?
The dealer recently replaced the shift **** as the leather wasn't looking good.
When I picked up my car the shift **** is too loose that you can still turn it around. They kept twisting it without pulling the center console out and using a visegrip.
What can go wrong with my shifter/transmission if they keep forcing to turn the shift **** without holding the shifter w/a visegrip?

first of all the factory sprays the stock **** with some type of adhesive, if you buy a replacement its not gonna have that on there.
go and buy a bottle of loctite and your problem is solved.
as for what can go wrong. in theory you could twist the shifter pole where it bends or breaks down where its connected the tranny,
but let me tell you this ive messed with shift ***** for hours opun hours on this car taking them on and off. and although the poll isnt supposed to move, i have twisted it maybe a 1/4 of a turn before trying to tighten a a nismo ****. i didnt notice any damage so i think you would immediatly know if you did something to it.
try the loc-tite spray and you should be good to go
