Does it come with tape? If not, get some 3M body side molding tape and you'll be just fine without having to drill your deck and use the screws. Just make sure you prep the area well and remove any wax.

i tried putting double sided 3m tape, i guess it wont stick because it wont reach the surface, i guess i need thicker 3m tape, but then im worried what if it showed?

Just build it up to the right thickness. Did the spoiler not come with it already on there? The OEM spoiler is attached with both tape and the screws.

Wing, yes, lip spoiler, no; just like the body side molding doesn't fly off cars that is only taped on. That BSM tape is strang stuff.

+1

mine's been taped on for 2 years now

it doesn't tend to fly off because the wing inherently produces *downforce*

the tape is just there to prevent lateral movement

ive ready plenty of posts with people who have had experiences taking off the stock spoiler. it is held on by two bolts and 3m tape. they said that the tape was such a ***** to get off that they wouldnt have been surprised if tape alone would not have sufficient to keep the spoiler attached to the car.
