Hey rkd350z,

I searched long and hard for the correct size bulbs for our 2006. I originally looked at the sylvania silverstar bulbs but then realized that mirror bulbs would look way better in our cars.
After researching the bulbs that Nissan put in the Z for 2006, I found the right ones. The best place to get mirror bulbs is here:

http://www.silverbulbs.com/

Front turn signal = 3457
Parking light = T10/194
Rear turn signal = 7440

now if anybody can give some advice as to how to remove these suckas (3457NA) i'd greatly appreciate it. I'm thinking of using tweezers to push down on the clips but they are very difficult to remove.

I would not recommend bulbs with plastic bases, like sold in the link posted above. I've read several reports of people having problems with those.

I have all glass silver coated bulbs in my car (all 7443 in the '03-'05... or is it 7440?) made by Stealth Auto and they are great. They cost more, but are deffinitely worth it. Not sure if they make them in the size needed for the '06 front, though. I got mine from http://www.matrixracing.com (search "stealth")

Edit: just looked there and they do have them in 3457, but they have a plastic base also... at any rate, I can vouch for the quality of the Stealth Auto brand.

Here are some pics I took when I installed the Stealth Auto bulbs in my FX35 (they are the same bulbs/size that I have in my Z). Hard to tell inthe pics, but the Stealth bulbs are not quite as bright as the stock bulbs due to the coating, but they are plenty bright enough and make the headlight housing look MUCH better.

Yes, they are silver coated to clear out the headlight, but still flash amber to keep it legal.
