Default Color Matched Engine Area (pics!!!)

After seeing the axis car...... I knew 2 things.

1) I would own those rims (and I do, but they arent mounted yet do to tires being on back order).
2) I would have the engine bay painted like they did. Though I may have taken it one step further.

Sorry it was JUST about to rain so there is NO real reflection or brightenes in these pics. Trust me, it has that bassboat shine to it just like the brickyards do in the daytime. Here is the album if you want to see them one at a time (for imagestation members only) http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290667457

If any of you are interested in having the same thing done, just tell me. My buddy Brian would be more then happy to do work fo you.

hehe, even the cellphone! Looks great in person. This shot was taken from like 3" away and the pearl in it reflected and made it looks filthy.

That is cool. How do you like the Versio? I work with AT&T Wireless managing a retail market and that is a great selling phone. Very cool how you had it painted to match.

On your Z, I gotta say that I love the way it looks. Much, much nicer than the bland black abs plastic look. Certainly give the Z more appeal when the hood is open. I bet this would look great with any color Z too, including black. It would definately give that smooth, custom look.

Nice job!

Thanks guys!

The paint for these cars is about 2x (almost exactly) more expensive then any other car paint I have ever purchased. Its rediculous!!! But I guess it was worth it

Yup, Brian can do any color you want if you front the cash and just ship over the parts. He has a nice little setup in his garage

Great job! Do you have an approximate cost for the job, including the paint? Thanks.

Just the paint is about 55-60 a pint or 90ish a quart. Then you need to purchase

a) primer
b) reducer
c) clear

At cost I think it was 110 for me. Keep in mind poor Brian has lots of labor on these.

Wadd: That is Soooooo nice! Did you consider painting the rubber part of your intake (the bright red part)? That would be cool too.

When I get my body kit installed and painted I think I'll tell the autobody guys to do that to mine. They'll already have the paint.

Hey VA: What are you doing about the TS front diffuser. You and I were in that group purchase that last I heard had fallen through. I have my Nismo wing and side skirts in the box in my garage and I have the rear skirts (the "fake" ones) on order too.

I gave up on the TS diffuser GP and ordered mine from Jeremy at 350tuner.com Supposedly mid to end or March because the FRP one is backordered. The CF one would have been available end of this month but for $200 more, I'll wait.

Bonz, yes Ive thought of that a few times, but it wont work. The paint would flake right off the first time you touched it. The rubber flexes WAYYYY to much.

Im honsetly tired of waiting for someone to give me the privilege to buying black hoses from them. Errr.

I requested my money back too. Matt was supposed to get me prices for the same parts, but he never got the prices.

I found a local dealer and ordered the veilside front diffuser and NISMO wing/side & rear skirts. The parts should be coming in sometime next month. I went with the veilside because it was less expensive than the TopSecret. Also, because I'm going to be painting it, I didn't feel the CF was worth it so I went with a FRP piece.

Thats so hot. It will really blow a few peoples minds when you open the hood. Even if they know about it I dont think they will expect it to match/look so damn good.

Sorry, I didn't catch that post. I haven't been on this site much,
but your topic and pix made me want to post.

Is it possible to get the "chrome" look on that V6 3.5
part?

Also, did you get the price quote on the polished plenum?
I wonder if a trade-in would be possible.

BTW... I never seen a Brickyard Z look so nice. Great job!

Thanks for the comments

Yes I could have had the V-6 Painted chrome but we were in a hurry. It can always be done later. Definately a polished intake manifold is in order now. No, I have no pricing as of yet. Does anyone here know what they cost????
