Never seen one, but there's a dude around here with a custom sunroof. If you got the money, why the hell not? I'm sure someone will mention how it's a bad idea frame wise, but it'd sure look sweet!

I have a feeling that would be a bad idea making car that wasn't designed to have t-tops into a t-top.

I think T-tops were a cool idea though to bad no one makes acar with them anymore.

Maybe not a T-Top, But a Targa Top Z would make sense, IMHO. Minimal loss of structural integrity.

You would lose more structural integrity with a targa roof panel out than you would a t-top.

It is amazing how many times people will post the same or similar questions time and time again. Unless you have 8 grand or so nothing is going to happen with a 350z roof unless you go for a sunroof...could someone please make a post and make it a sticky so no more questions will be asked.

I plan on doing this when I get out of school. It won't cost too much. It will cost out the *** for labor to have one done though. Also cavallino33 last time I checked they have a convertible Z based on the same underbody.

Well Im assuming theres a little more structural engineering/bracing etc in the Z roadster than a homemade t-top based on a Z coupe.

I'm not going to say it's positive, but I'm about 98% sure the coupe and roadster share the same underbody. So if the roadster can hold up I'm sure a targa could. Still if I go through with my plans there will still be some added support, just because I plan on running a Greddy TT down the road.

The roadster has additional underbracing to help stiffen the chassis. Another reason why its heavier than the coupe.
