Could you please re-post the picture of the bulb wires that must be cut. Thanks

Sorry guys I have no pics. but it's not hard. With the unit plugged in and the harness visable, turn on the headlights and with a test light you probe the wires running into the back of the park lamp bulb.{there will be 2}. The one that lights up is gonna be the park lamp. But if your unsure then at the same time turn on the signal lamp for that side and the other wire should flash the test light like the blinker. Snip the other wire, that should do it. Note: this will not kill the side led's.

Outstanding!

Thank you for such a pithy and concise explaination. Although I've read many accounts of this solution, yours is the first that I could understand (without having the unit in my hand as I read it).

This is a great thread, tell me more abou the equalizer, how does this work actually? What do you mean by "wire in an equalizer?" How do you install this and which ones is it? THANKS

Can you change that strip of 4 leds from amber to white. are they replaceable bulbs or hardwired?

Good luck with changing out the amber led's. I was going to but you would have to take apart the entire housing to get to them. Not up for breaking the housing seal if I didn't have too.

Not me, but I can try to help explain for now (until one of our wiring gurus sees this thread).

When you replace your front turn signals with LED's, they don't have any resistence (like the OEM bulbs), so this causes them to blink too fast or even blow out, because they use much less current than the OEM bulbs.

The "equalizer" prevents both of these.

Hope that helps. Someone will no doubt now be challenged to correct me or add anything I left out, so then you'll have your answer.
