Just got done- LED External Lights
just got done installing complete external LED lights on my girl.
LED Turn Signals
LED Reverse Lights
LED License plate lights
LED Parking Lights
JDM LED Taillights.
will post pics up tonight if any are interested. it was SO simple and looks SO clean.

That must be one HUGE b!tch if you gotta put turn signals on her. I like my girls thick, but not SO thick you gotta register then with the DMV!! GA DAMN!! You know you gotta post pics now!

Interested in which LEDs you used, specifically the mcd rating. And can you tell us if you did series or parallel LED wiring, what the LED voltage and current was and what resistor value(s) you used. I'm sure there are many of us looking to do the same or similar things.

You will absolutely need to use a resistor. The resistor limits current, which is what determines brightness. If you overdrive an LED, it will be bright but it won't last anywhere near the 80,000 hours they're rated for. Google "LED calculator" to determine your resistor value.

The exception to this is when the LED comes with a built-in resistor, but you would probably know that because it would be clearly marked. But since it keeps burning out, I'm assuming there isn't one.

They will not be brighter with a resistor, but they will last longer than 2 months. If you're looking for something brighter, you'll need higher-output LEDs that produce a higher intensity or brightness without being overdriven.
