Default Painting valve covers...

I did a search and I didn't find anything on painting the valve covers. I was wondering what kind of paint you would use? I would think that polycarbonate paint would work really well since it can stick to clear lexan. Any input?

Havent seen it done because the VC's are not aluminum they are a reinforced plastic-not sure how it would turn out. They are also finished kinda rough.

Why would you want to paint the valve cover? You won't even see it. lol

You can see it somewhat. If you have ever looked at the Jun Z or the Stream Z they have painted valve covers and it is noticable.

I wonder if they had to use a special primer because they were using normal paint. Polycarbonate paint should stick really well to the plastic.

Looks good though!

polycarbonate paint is meant to be used on polycarbonate....and that paint is neither very heat resistant nor oil resistant
