I am getting my windows tinted next week, and I can’t decide if I should have a tint strip put across my windshield. In all of my other cars (in the past) I have always had one, but I am concerned that it will fall in my line of sight. Has anyone had this problem? Should I do the strip or not?

I used to think strips had a cheap look to them but have recently changed my mind. It looks good and serves its purpose, when that sun is right there you'll be glad you got it. I think its just personal preference ..

I would never recommend tinting the front windshield, a definite safety issue. and the strips look aweful in my opinion. Save the strips for the Mustang owners, whats next, a mullet?

Thanks for the replies…. I have thought about it and it is a go. I live in the desert and it gets about 120° in the summer. Whatever I can do to keep that black leather a little cooler…consider it done. I don’t think the strip looks that bad IMO...and from those who have it seem to enjoy the functional aspect of it.

I wondered the same thing when I was about to get my windows tinted. I decided to go for it and never looked back. I think it looks great and certainly serves its purpose.
