Default Windshield tint strip…

I am getting my windows tinted next week, and I can’t decide if I should have a tint strip put across my windshield. In all of my other cars (in the past) I have always had one, but I am concerned that it will fall in my line of sight. Has anyone had this problem? Should I do the strip or not?

I used to think strips had a cheap look to them but have recently changed my mind. It looks good and serves its purpose, when that sun is right there you'll be glad you got it. I think its just personal preference ..

I really wanna tint my windshield lightly but don't wanna attract the 5.0. Ever get pulled over for it?

I would say go for it I didn't have one for the longest time and it definitely helps block the sun. IMO it doesn't look that bad either.

do the strip real dark and then tint the whole windshield. the cops will never think you tinted the windshield because the strip is there.

I would never recommend tinting the front windshield, a definite safety issue. and the strips look aweful in my opinion. Save the strips for the Mustang owners, whats next, a mullet?

Either there is no sun where you are in the Midwest or your car sits in a garage all day because the strip IMO would be a must in FL or CA.

Thanks for the replies…. I have thought about it and it is a go. I live in the desert and it gets about 120° in the summer. Whatever I can do to keep that black leather a little cooler…consider it done. I don’t think the strip looks that bad IMO...and from those who have it seem to enjoy the functional aspect of it.

I personally don't like the strip look, however recommending a front windshield tint is dangerous. But if you must do the whole windshield lightly like 50%, or get some good sunglasses

I wondered the same thing when I was about to get my windows tinted. I decided to go for it and never looked back. I think it looks great and certainly serves its purpose.

Make sure that the front windshield tint is not illegal in your state as it will surely be an issue should you get in an accident
