Default Katzkin Seats w/ Fender Emblem on Headrests

Attached is a photo of my new Katzkin leather seats. They are 2-tone Dark Graphite with Frost (actually Puddy) inserts. They have the 350Z fender emblem logo embroidered on the headrests.

These were purchased from James at "Attention To Detail"
atd1@atd1.com and as far as I know, he is still giving a 20% discount. Plus, he's a great guy to deal with.

I've also pre-ordered the front & rear "Z" emblems from Courtesy
Nissan, so my Z will either be over-loaded with fender emblems,
or there will be a design theme there somewhere.

This is really a test posting, since I didn't know what size picture to post. The original is 1536x1024, and I reduced it down (too much? too little?).

Since that size seemed to work ok, here one of the headrest (even has the little squares/diamonds).

Awww, man. You got me all excited. I thought that you meant the Fender emblem, as in Fender guitars.

Looks good!

Not to crazy about the circle that surrounds the Z, would look better with just the Z, is that possible?

Thumbs up

Very nice. I stayed with carbon cloth in my CS Track - I liked the cloth and thought I might be happy without leather but the more I see this 2-tone black / gray setup the more I want it. Would you mind sharing costs of covers and install ?

BZ8 and 350Z4Steve:

One of the two original logo choices was a plain "block" Z(no squares). Don't remember the 2nd choice, but didn't care for either one.

So I went with "350Z" (there are a choice of 7 fonts). Katzkin was supposed to embroider it in Dark Graphite on the Frost (Puddy) Backrests, but for some reason, could not on the 350.
So without an ok, they embroidered it in D.Graphite on the D.Graphite headrests (subtle tone-on-tone), instead of Frost embroidering on the Graphite headrests. It's almost too subtle to notice. Attached is a photo, showing it in sunlight, when it is most noticeable.

When I read on this board that someone had special ordered the "Z" fender emblem logo from Katzkin, and it was now available to all, I had my headrests changed.

Welsh350Z N:

My seats cost $480 + $20 shipping. Installation was $120 by an
Auto Upholsterer. I changed the headrests myself (like stuffing a 12# sausage in a 10# skin). The upholsterer also redid my armrests in Frost (vinyl) for $10 each (see the photo). ATD does not charge extra for the embroidering or the 2-tones (I think Classic Soft Trim does). Some of the options (they have many) that ATD/Katzkin charges extra for are perforated inserts,
"suede" inserts, contrasting stitching, etc. etc. Truly you can get a one-of-a kind set of seats. James posted a price list for all the options on this forum a couple month back.

Jeffrey;

You must be from the stix (Hill Country).

Z-Car Show-Off tomorrow night - Pat Booker Rd off 35. About 2 miles down, right hand side: Taco Cabana. Setting up parking 6:30-7:00. Bring your guitar & 350Z.

I really CAN bring a guitar, but I don't know how many people would care about it!

Hmm I got a question.
According to other threads I read, Katzkin leather seats usually cost about $900-1000 for 2 seats.
But you said $480+$20.
Is that for only one seat?
As I see your pic, it seems you got both of them done (Obviously ) And did they only cost $500 including shipping? (Installation is seprate) Leather seats for $500 is not at all bad. Also I couldn't find any pricing info in www.katzkin.com. Seems like your total expense is about $700 total, or somewhat less. Makes me quite interested.
Anyway, I love your seats! got Super Black, so I was also thinking of two tone leather with black/frost or black/pearl

I'm gonna try and make it, probably around 7 or so. Look for some longhaired guy with a dirty black Z.

After driving it all day at work and down to SA it's not gonna be clean anymore.

Jeffrey;

Look forward to talking to you tonight - I'll be the guy with the black 350 with guitar logos on the headrests.

Seanrulz:

Yup, $500 for 2 seats. ATD1 is (was?) acting as wholesaler, discounting Katzkin's $600 price by 20%. I did a couple of searches trying to find the original threads (Jan./Feb.), but couldn't find them for some reason.

I checked with a local Classic Soft Trim dealer, and they wanted $1250 for the same deal (2-tone with embroidering), installed.
