you would need to gut it...only other thing i can think of is an engine swap to an SR20 or something and CF everything?

get some cf doors, hatch, roof, hood.......etc and excercise

or just lay off the samiches
Titanium single exhaust (JIC)
test pipes
remove spare and jack
light weight battery (15lb Braille)
carbon doors (wouldn't do it unless you're planning a roll cage)
replace seats with bucket seats (Bride, recaro)
Volks (TE37) or Work (Emotions CR KAI)
that should bring you down 100 - 150lbs
then you gotta start stripping the interior

how much do CF doors cost anyhow? 1800-2000? im gonna stick to cheap stuff. Ive got some enkeis & BFG KDW2's on the weigh. ill lose 30 pounds on that. then ACT clutch & prolite wheel. thats like 15 pounds. battery, test pipes, carbon fiber hatch & no tools/spare and ill be down there ;]
You will gain weight,(about 2 pounds or so) with a CF hood unless you drop 2Grand for the Amuse dry carbon hood.
Cf fenders, doors, hatch(with lexan glass, or you only lose like 5lbs), lexan quarter windows, no spare/tools, import the rear quarter panels in CF from Japan(someone on this site found/offered them), cf front bumper, cf rear bumper, cf mirrors, strip the trunk area(or all of it), clutch/flywheel, wheels/tires, use a motorcycle battery that weighs about 8lbs(you better never run anything w/o the engine on though) and you should be good to go under 3000lbs. Probably other stuff/options but that's just what I thought of off the top of my head, and either way it won't be cheap. I'm sure you can throw in some lightweight suspension components as well.

hmmm. well ive got wheels/tires on the way that will drop about 30 pounds overall. probably will put in test pipes, lightweight battery, clutch/flywheel, drain the wiper fluid, and maybe some JIC race bucket seats (6.4 KG as opposed to like 16.8 kg stock). are ACT street disc/heavy duty pressure plates lighter than stock? i know ill lose about 13-15 pounds from the prolite flywheel, 15 or so from the battery, 10 pounds from drainin the wiper fluid, and about 30 pounds from test pipes and the 25 or so pounds from the seats.

superchargers and turbocharger dont improve handling and braking though. losing 300 pounds improves everything.
If you guys wanted a car that was very light, S2k would have been a better choice. Keeping the car streetable and light is one thing, but going all out will turn it into a race car.
