Default Anyone lose their platic fender lining? *PIC*

To make a long story short, my fender lining never really stayed secure to the front bumper due to the thinness of the inside area. I would just tuck it in if you know what I mean... Well, this worked until the weekend. I lost one lining, the other one is ripped. I'll probably get some custom added brackets made or something so this doesnt happen again. A quick pic of what happens when the plastic gets caught on the tire.

If the liners are in good shape and properly installed with the right bolts, screws and plastic connectors, it will stay. Its a PITA for someone that dosent do it all the time and shortcuts are what cause problems, that escalate into bigger problems (tearing, loosing their shape) Its your call, but keep it in mind.

I hear ya, but with many aftermarket bumpers, their is simply not enough room to attach the stock clips/screws/etc. Custom work is needed if you want a factory secure fit on MANY aftermarket bumpers.

I just got my aerosync installed and they had no trouble securing the plastic fender walls... Howevere this did happen to me about 6yrs ago when i owned an integra. i remember the horrible feeling I got from it so I made sure the shop took care of this.

Howey, I would be interested in seeing pics as I also have the aerosync. Did they make custom brackets or clips? The areosync actually has no holes for the fender lining. Although when I first got the car back, it stayed tucked in nicely, but eventually they just started sticking out. Be careful and monitor it if you dont have any extra clips holding them down.

hmmmm... it's possible they changed the design. I bought mine about 1.5 years ago. I would love to compare both of ours... The bottom is also too short for the plastic piece that covers the oil pan.

I haven't really inspected the bottom plastic... Now you have me wondering lol. I may have to stop over at the shop on my way to work and sneak a peek.

Mine are torn up to hell. One side looks almost like that and the other side the clips on the bottom came off and it ate away half of the base of it. I'm probably going to replace them very soon.

LOL! All this time I thought you actually did it! This is called, pre-install denial. You'll see what I mean when you get your car back.

i highly suggest people run the fenderliners and undertray.
it will help keep crap out and more importantly they are also designed to for control cooling the car.

Damnit. the shop is installing my jdm nismo sides and rears and I asked them to see the bottom of the bumper and they said they were only able to secure the bottom plastic with a few clips... They said they are going to try and figure something else out for me. As for the fender wall sides... Yes, those are secured properly and I'll get some pics of what they did, asap. BTW, this is JDM Auto of south chicago and they are awesome!!!
