or did anyone even try to put one on?? i think it might look better than S2k IMO..

or ebay... mangowalk antennas ftw, like $10 shipped and reception works (not that i use my radio at all)

You'll get poor reception with the SL antenna as it's not really a functional piece. The SL has an auxiliary antenna in the rear bumper to boost reception. Also, at about $100, the SL antenna is not cheap.

If you want the look of the SL antenna, the brabus looks just like it, but I believe it actually costs more. Though the brabus antenna comes with installation of the booster antenna in the rear bumper.

If you'd like a MB antenna, try the older SLK antenna. It's somewhat short and should give decent reception. Oh and the color matching looks quite good me thinks.

+1 on the mangowalk from ebay. i ordered the 4inch black stubby antenna last week and installed it on monday. it looks good to me and radio reception is unchanged.

I work for Mercedes, and have tried the SL ant. and it doesnt fit, the SL ant has female threads, just like the base of our Zs, so they cant thread together, and the SL's thread opening is way bigger than the Z's so the chances of an adapter fitting and working, would be slim

how hard is it to take the stock atenna off? Just twist and turn? Righty tighty, lefty loosey?
