Default Being ripped off sucks!!!

I've already searched and found absolutely nothing. I'm trying to find out how much it's going to run to get the nismo v2 kit painted PPW all around and blended with the rest of the car i'm looking for ball park figures so i know what i'm looking to spend... also don't want to get ripped off thanks much for any help and if anyone has tips on paint matching PPW please feel free to chime in anytime

you're asking too broad of a question, too many vairables.

a) is the kit a authentic? replica?
b) if it's a replica, you're going to run into fitment issues & labor's gonna go up
c) what type of paint are you going to use?
d) how many coats of paint? how many coats of clear?

labor shops vary from area to area & it's hard to ballpark the cost. joe blow's shop might charge you to test fit it and john doe's might not. there are alot of variables to think of.

oh yeah, ppw is one of the hardest colors to match. even oem paint is tough because every batch is different.

if it's from shine, then fitment shouldn't be an issue.

i'd do a local area thread and ask the guys what they recommend. then, i'd go around asking for quotes. becareful though, sometimes the cheapest isn't the best. some shops that only do aftermarket kits will charge a little more because of their experience

A friendly advice, if you go to some of the shops, ask them if you can see some of there work on other cars they have done, and not just photos. And plus PPW is dam hard color to match, so make sure they just dont just use the color code, but also to have the pro paints match it the color on the car, witch will require little mod to the mixed paint, plus have them do a sample for you to look at just before they paint. And once they start to paint, make sure they dont just paint your add on panels but to fade it to the panels next to them.

i bought the v2 kit from shine and fitment is right on. my body man quoted me $600. his work is excellent, but he is undercharging me for previous favors. my friend has the same kit and was quoted $1,200 .

Thanks r26 good to hear shine lives up to there reputation... Was the $1200.00 for your friend for PPW or does it not matter? also was that for the whole kit painted?

make sure they have experience with ppw z's. mine was in a small accident, and i interviewed 20 shops before deciding. found one that the local nissan dealership works with, and they had done tons of ppw, and it came out PERFECT.
