smoked tail lights
so i have searched, and havent really been able to find what im looking for with this...
what do most people prefer for doing the smoked tails? the films or sanding/spraying/buffing? the film looks to be alot easier, and also doesnt run the risk of ruining my tails...
also, does anyone know of a good company that makes a kit for the tail lights that includes ALL of the tail light assemblies (main tails and the lowers) ?
TIA for any/all help

I don't know about the turn signals ... but I know that www.headlightarmor.com makes so real nice overlays for tails and headlights. pretty $$ though. about 50 bucks pre-cut just for tails.

yeah, i had looked at those, they look pretty good, i just wanted to find somewhere that i could get all the lights covered myself
or a roll of the film so i could do the overlays myself. would a roll of window tint from wal mart work for this? or is the tail light film different somehow.

Unfortunately, Headlight Armor only makes headlight and taillight overlays for the Z (no reverse, or front reflector overlays).

does anyone know if regular window tint will work for this application? is there anything different/special about buying from headlight armor or blue bat?

Regular window tint film is not pliable enough to conform to the contours of taillights or headlights. It also won't hold up to the rigors of weather and the elements (scratches and tears easily).
Vinyl overlays (like Bat's or Headlight Armor's) however stand up quite well
