Default Security

So after finally getting my Z back from the shop 3 months after it was stolen (parts delays, parts delays...), I now have what I believe is a secure set-up. Besides a Viper 2-way alarm, and a clutch lock, this is the 3rd line of defense. After that, it's me coming out guns blazing.

The Autotaser was made by Taser Corp. and discontinued around 2002. Very hard to find, but occasionally available on Ebay. The device locks to the steering wheel and arms with a remote. If it is set-off by motion or shock, it sounds a 120 Db siren for 5 seconds, and then electrifies with 50,000 volts of Taser charge, meanwhile the pearcing siren continues. Was totally legal, since it was non-lethal, but was mysteriously discontinued. Here are some pics in action. I had to endure the siren to get these shots.

that's cool...but i wouldn't give them the warning that it'll zap 'em. just let them fry.

i think it would be cool to have self-destruct features. you walk out and find your car missing. pull out your keys. press "the button". you see it on the news later that night.

I'd hate to bump "the button" while my keys were in my pocket.

So if the key has the security chip - how did it get stolen?

I just bought a '07 Nismo and trying to research if I need to have additional security - LoJack, alarm, etc.

Bro, the key having a security chirp doesnt mean your vehicle will never get stolen. All it does is help. Even though, he could have been out of range or something. Alarm, clutch lock, quick release hub lock, shifter lock, wheel lock, taking out your ecu, kill switches, etc dont do anything but slow the thief down from stealing your vehicle. No matter what kind of security you get for your vehicle, a thief will always find a way to steal it.

taser=sweet, someone should put automatic pepper spray in the steering wheel that would only be activated by the alarm sounding and steering wheel being forcefully moved.
