Question 06+ HID headlights on 03~05 HID possible???

Hello ALL,

I was wondering if anyone knew if I can swap out my 03' HID headlamps for some new 06+ (bugeyed) HID headlamps?

Is it a simple plug and play or Im going to have to cut some wires and solder?

Im sure someone has done this before. Please let me know!!

Thanks all!!

youd have to reftrofit it i believe. probably alot harder than it sounds. as for costs (and possibility of some labor involved) youd be better off finding a nice set of 06's.

It is a different housing. You will need to buy the entire headlamp.

They are just plug and play. As long as you already have HID's (not base trim) you'll be set.

yup, as long as you have hids on your pre 06 headlights, they are a plug and play type of deal. I have them on my car.

Aren't the newer style HID headlamps bi-xenons?
Or is this only 2007?

I've been looking to put some newer headlamps on mine.

yup, bixenons. The lowbeam are so bright compared to the 03-05. I would never go back to the regular ones.

So since the 03's have seperate high beams... How does your 03 work with the bi-xenons?

You just plug up harnesses. The low beam and high beam are the same bulb.

Well you plug up the harness and then your single beam is bi-xenon. Nothing like having a HID highbeam. Your welcome.

installing 06-07 hids on an 03-05 requires way too much work at the end of the day. too much time, money, effort, and brains is required so you are better off just selling the 350 and getting a 300zx for retrofitting the the 07 hid's
