Default Seibon VSII Hood help!!

Ok, i just recieved my VSII hood today, and i notice the vent only has a silver mesh on it with no back cover. Is it ok to install it and leave a open hole for water to go in during the rainy days? Or what should i do in covering it up?

i live in Vancouver, Canada. And i get some pretty big down pours over here and especially during winter time, it may rain like 5 days a week, so i shoudlnt be concerned with engine damage from water going in constantly through that hole?

If you have a JWT Popcharger, you might want to reconsider on getting a rain vent. I have a Seibon VT and the holes on the hood is directly located on my intake thats why I watch the weather channel first before I drive my car.

I always have painter's tape in my trunk (the wide one). If I do get caught in the rain, I can easily cover the vents that is above my popcharger. I do this when I am washing my car.

I've only had to do this once since I have a second car for rain day and winter and I watch the weather channel a lot.

I recently bought the Seibon TS hood. I was thinking of using aluminum to make a catch that would direct the water away from the popcharger and electronics. When my hood is painted and installed I will look at the technical this.*

Did you purchase it new? Both the TS and VS2 come with rain guards from Seibon.

Let me call and see if I can get a rain guard. I swear the VS2 has one, maybe I was thinking of another model.
