Default Keep The Stock Antenna

I did a search and didn't find anything on it so here it goes.

Anyone ever thought of instead of buying a s2000 antenna, just cut our stock antenna off where the skinny top piece becomes big, sanding it down and coloring the top with a sharpie? Friend of mine did this and it didn't change his reception at all, just looked alot better for cheaper. Like I said i dunno if its been discussed already but i wan't to let people know about it. Later

Not bad. Wondering if the S2K antenna gives you worse reception. I put 1 on, and just wondering if anyone else notices a difference.

i bought the acura rdx antenna and the reception is no better or worse. looks a lot better than stock. I paid 12 bucks or something for it but most people say they pay 8-10. Hendrick Acura has inflated prices I guess haha.

Another alternative is the 2008 Dodge Avenger antenna. It's available for $6.00 at your neighborhood Dodge Dealer.

I have the 2008 Honda Element antenna. The base is a hair bigger than the Z's base. I will probably change out to the Avenger antenna in the future also...

Element and S2k are the same antenna. I asked for Element when I got mine and they told me it was the same one as the part numbers verified this.

RDX one fits better.

I have actually done this mod before, but it just doesn't look right for some reason. Therefore, i purchased a S2k antena; which looks much better. But if you're on a budget, then this mod is for you...
