06 headlights in a 05 base

Default 06 headlights in a 05 base

searched but can't find a straight answer. will 06/07 headlights work in an 05 base without modification? plug n play ?? or what needs to be modified ?

I do not believe they will work since the base models did not come with HID's. I maybe wrong, however I am 99.9% sure I am right.

with base i doubt they will work because the ball in side might have issues because the beam is being "shot" thru versus with the base having a standard bulb

but thats just my 2 cents

Take your headlight off. If you have a plug with 8 connectors, it should plug straight in. If you have 6 connectors, PM me and I can build you a harness.

alright, i'm completely confused now. what if i take the complete headlight assembly from an 6 and attempt to install it on my base 05? i'm new to HID....if i got 06 headlights, why would i need HIDs...i don't get it?

It will work on a Base, you just need to hard wire everything.
