I don't understand the excitement of pushing a button to start the car. I had a pull button on my 1963 Austin Healey Sprite and I wished I had the good old turn the key ignition switch. The push button is really nothing new.

Totally lame mod unless you do it right by making it a true push button (no key)

I agree that it would be a lot cooler if you didn't need to put the key in the ignition, and could simply press the button...
By the time I put the key in the ignition, turn it to the accessories position, and press and hold the start button, I could have already been driving halfway down the block by starting the car normally.
Lame.

Ya i agree. not worth the time or money.
i work with keyless ignition systems all day long, and im telling you they are a pain in the ***. the only ones that i have seen get it right is the corvette. but even there, the computer gets confused, fails, and then you spend a half hour trying to get the damn thing working. plus at the heart of the nissan "intellikey" is still a traditional key. its in the fob, and its there for when the car freaks out and doesnt work properly.
plus, from a service shop standpoint, they notoriously forget where the keys are. they dont want to leave them in the car for fear the car will lock, so typically they will put the key on the roof of the car. most nissans will start with the intelligent key on the roof of the car. and usually the techs drive off with the keys of the roof (ive made this mistake myself).
but to get back to the point, im sure it would look awesome, more power to you if thats your thing. dont let anyone on these forums decide for you what your style is. thats one thing ive learned. if you like it, then do it, as long as it isnt rice. but, ill stick to my good old-fashioned works-every-time key.
