I was wondering if anyone has ever bought this kit? If so, where there an issues with it.

Thanks,

Default This...

is the kit I have and I love it. Front and back 100% with no concerns on my 2006. Side skirts I would rate just slightly lower then that. Find a good shop with a good sprayer and you will love it.

^ What were the issues with the skirts? I'm looking at the skirts and rears myself...

Default Well...

my personal experience was that just in front of the rear wheels (where the skirt meets the body) required more finesse to get it flush with the body. This took quite a bit of work but my shop eventually got it done.

Edit: This should help you guys out. Here are some pix just after I got my kit on in April of last year.

Negative. The front will hang too low compared to the stock sides. It's like when people buy Nismo V2 bumper and don't bother to put side skirts that match its height. Looks ugly like that.

Default Yeah...

profile wise, just the front lip might not be best the route for this particular kit. There are plenty of other lips to choose from or perhaps a complete new front end would be your best bet if you're not looking to do an entire kit.

risky, are the sides and rear held on with double sided tape and scews at the end?

Have you had any problems with them pealing off? How long have you had the kit installed?

Default Held...

on with both. No issues with the kit moving. I have had it on since April of 2007. Weather wise in Toronto it is incredbily hawt/humid in the summer (no kit sag) and bitter cold in Feb in the winter. The kit has been the same since day 1 as the shop I used did a really good job.

Hopefully that helps.

I was thinking of going with the LX front lip and the Greddy sides, http://intensepower.com/grsisk35.html

What do you guys think? Oh BTW, what would be the downside of buying FRP sides as to Urethane? Would they break as often as FRP front lips?

Urethane is almost impossible to break. The major downfall to Urethane is the fact that the paint tends to crack and spider when you hit something. So althought urethane flexes and you can run into stuff with it, the paint does not flex with it.

But when you hit it with frp, the frp AND the paint gets messed up too. And urethane is heavier, no?

Anyways, so what do you guys think of MSA front lip + greddy sides?
