Ok, I sense the sarcasm. Obviously the Acura antenna is not going to break the bank. But, I went to the Acura dealer, and I held up their antenna with my Dodge antenna.. and it's EXACTLY the same. Same length, same thickness, same width.. same everything. So again I will ask, even if it was $1 more.. why pay more for the exact same thing? It just makes no sense. Especially being Dodge dealerships are more accessable.

No, the tip of the antenna is not shiny. Its the way the photo came out with the sun setting, that's all.

I have the Dodge Avenger '08 antenna and it does not have a gap between the mast and the base. When i get home from work, i will take a picture.

I put my RDX antenna on last week. I love it. Looks 10x better than the stock one.

No, that's a drawback for sure. The RDX (and I assume the Dodge) antenna has a matte finish.

1st of all, I don't know how the money factor came into this thread... if we can afford to drive 30K sports car, we can afford an antenna regardless of how much they are....

i'll be waiting for ur pics ...

(other than fatinma), Am I the only one that thinks the RDX one leaves a visible gap while the Dodge one doesn't?

RDX = gap

RDX = gap

RDX = gap

Dodge = no gap

I think the Z antenna base has less thread than the RDX antenna thread ..... hence, there is gap ...Or It could be that I am really **** about my Z??? I don't know... Maybe I got burned by the overrated S2000 antenna that leaves a huge (mushroom) affect in my Z?

Wow is that gap really that serious to you? I really can't see the difference. I just ordered mines from the local Acura dealer, cost me around $6.50

DODGE ANTENNA BREAK DOWN:

1. DODGE ANTENNA IS MATTE BLACK FINISH - doesn't stand out over base color anymore than anyone thats **** would notice.
2. ABOUT 1 INCH IN LENGTH LONGER THAN S2000 ANTENNA - no biggy
3. NO GAP!!!!!! - perfect mounting and secure.
4. PERFECT FITMENT AT BASE - DOESNT HANG OVER LIKE S2000 ANTENNA - cleaner look IMO.
5. $6.65 + TAX AT MY LOCAL DEALER - so its inexpensive
6. DODGE DEALERS ARE NEAR BY IN MOST METROPLITAIN AREAS. - easily obtainable.
7. GREAT RECEPTION. - haven't noticed any difference over my S2000 one.

TO ME THE DODGE ANTENNA IS PERFECT.....
IF THE BLACKS DONT MATCH, I CANT TELL AND IF I LOOK CLOSE AND DO SEE A DIFFERENCE WELL SHADES OF BLACK DONT BOTHER ME...THATS FOR GIRLS AND PURSES, EYELINER AND CRAP....

Can you post some close up pics of the "gap-less" area?

I love how this thread all of a sudden become a comparison thread between two antennas. I have the RDX antenna, I don't know about Dodge antenna as I don't know any friends that owns a Dodge. Its rare to see a SoCal Asian that owns a Dodge. On the other hand, two of my friend owns RDX, that's when I found out RDX antenna fits better then the S2K. I am sure there are other antenna out there that look even better, so post pix if you got them.
Below are the old pix that I've posted on another thread long ago.
I hope I can post new pix of my car once it gets back from the bodyshop

Sorry if i was being a little too attention to detail...I can't help it...it's in my genes ... ... this would be my 3rd antenna that's why I wanted to make sure "this is it"!! s2k antenna came off the car in less than 30 sec...then bought some ebay antenna and took that off...then i got tired and put the stoker back on

I'm sorry but based on Honda's track record I feel my RDX antenna will last longer than your Dodge antenna... and I also think my dad can beat up your dad!

Give it a break. There isn't a "gap" on the rdx antenna anyways. I don't know what you're talking about so stfu about the gap.

why are people thanking other people here?.. I'M the one that discovered the Dodge antenna. If it wasn't for me, all you people would be wasting gas to find an Acura dealer, and wasting more money on the antenna.

Yes, there is a gap on the Acura antenna. The Dodge antenna is completely flush with the base.
