Default Is it reasonable price?

The emblems on my Z's turnk lid were stolen, and the f***ing punk who stole them left scratcthes and dents on it. I went to the bodyshop that works for the dealer, and gave me the estimate of $530 to repaint the trunk, and around $150 to fill the holes left by the NISSAN emblem. Is it a reasonable price? or should I look some where else.

Thanks,

Went to the insurance company and quoted me $415 for the repair. Funny thing is the insuracne company got the quote from the same shop I went to I am now debating to fill the holes and forget about the Nissan emblem or not.

that depends on how bad the "dents" are you said. If they are dents made with a baseball bat, thats one thing. If they look like little dimples in the metal, thats another. I would say trying using some clay bar, meguiars scratch-x, cleaner wax then protective wax to fill the scratches. as for the two emblem holes, either buy a new nissan emblem or get a fairlady z emblem and try to position it to cover the two holes.

you'll always pay a premium at a dealer shop. Take it to a recommended mom and pop body shop and you'll get a better deal.

my 2 cents.

Thanks, guys. The scratches are too deep, you can see the metal!! It's not the dealer shop, it's the shop my dealer uses. The insurance company also recommand them, and they did very good job paint my rear bumper. So I guess it's better be safe to go with them.
