I dont know if this pretains only to the veilside kits, but that shiz is low. I just wanted imput on how some of you guys lift the car. After 2 hours and almost cracking a side skirt from the jack sliding and landing on the skirt pushing up onto the body, i finally had to drive up 2 pieces of old carpet from our house and a 2x4 on top of that. Then i had to use the stock jack to life the car body about 2 inches just to get the big red 3 ton jack under the car. I know there has to be a easier way. And i tryed the 2x4 on the floor jack to give more clearance and it snapped the wook and almost caused more damage. Thanks

 

drive yor car onto well place 2 X 8's. This will raise your car up 1.5in and help with your clearance issues

 

yeah 2 x 8's or get a lower jack at sears

but you could do it my way.

go to home depot and buy one of those brick walk way steps.

they are about 1.5 inch high and large enough to drive your car on it to raise it up.

remember not to remove it before lowering the jack down.

you'd be in a bad situation with the jack stuck underneath.

 

I use the stock jack to lift it enough to let my good jack fit underneath, then I lift it.

When I let it down, I let it down until it rests on the stock lift again, and I lower the stock jack.

 

Yea..just use some wooden pallets. Works for me everytime

 

1-you can buy a ferari jack
2-or you can buy a low profile 2-ton jack thats 3" tall and this is my secret

IT FITS IN THE LITTLE VALLY OF THE SIDE SKIRTS!!!! NO HITTING NO RUBBING NOTHING, ITS LIKE A GROOVE MADE FOR A JACK

 

I've been using the stock jack to lift the car for changing out the wheels and stuff but I don't trust it. It's always creaking and stuff and I feel like the weld on the eyebolt part (the part you crank on) is going to snap one time and then I'll be screwed. I think it's time for a low-profile jack from sears or something.

 

So how much does this ferrari jack co$t???
