headlights question
my headlights dont have that clean look to them...they look like they are sort of foggy from then inside and there is no way i can clean them.. it doesnt look good at all and im sure it reduces some visibility because of that. i went to nissan asked them to change them but they refused they said its not under warrenty, they said they will only replace if they are damaged? i heard by z owneers it is under warrenty thats the only info i have on this i searchd but couldnt find anything. am i wrong or is the dealership trying to get out of it?
Its oxidation on top of the plastic headlight case, you can get rid of it with a polish but it will come back 3-4 weeks later, so it will be a on going process... My 2003 G35 was really bad and my 2006 FX35 after only 8 months had the same problem, luckily for me they had a recall on the FX35 headlights so I got new ones....
Have the headlights covered with 3M clear bra material, costs about $75.00 depending on the local installer. No more problems, also help out if you get a stone to the headlights..
If it is oxidation and its on the outside, I had the same and i got it all off by high speed buffing it with 3m rubbing compound. Did this about 2 months ago and the lights have been spotless ever since.

I polished mine with a Blue Bird Pneumatic polisher (100psi+wool) and 2000 grit liquid compound. Again, I am a highly experienced (not to brag or anything) detailer, so I don't recommend doing this because you'll burn right throug the plastic within seconds.
Mine have been clear for a few months now. Nothing came back

Happened to my RSX. If your car suffers extream weather changes (New England weather) it causes the sealant to crack and let in air. The condensation builds up inside.
I took my RSX to the Acura dealership and they fixed it for free. I wish Nissan was run more like Acura.
