Default Mud flaps and side skirt question

I have an 04 that I bought used and it came with the factory mudflaps. My question is about what appears to be a clear piece of plastic on the back of each side skirt, I'm assuming this is part of the mud flaps. Is there a way to remove it or replace it because they are turning yellow and they are very visible just the picture don't show it to well. Thanks for the help.

It's like a factory clear bra. Yes it is removable and isn't very hard to remove.

It feels like a piece of plastic I guess its thier to protect the side skirt from getting dirty or scratched from debris. I would like to take it off, but im scared if I just pull on it it will take the paint off. Help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Just start at the bottom and pick at a corner until it starts to peel off. Your paint will be okay.

He said above that it's beginning to yellow.
