I installed LED turns/tails last night with resistors. My friend said that during the day when he was behind me he could hardly see that my signals were on. Is this a problem with all LED turns/tails?, or does anyone think this might just be the quality of the LEDs I bought?
I got them from eautowors.com
http://eautoworks.com/
If its a quality issue please point me in the right direction to better LEDs
Searched with no luck.....Thank you

LED's can be very very bright, it just depends on the quality. Ask the guys like CinCity, or the guy that made that progressive rear turn signals, they make some BRIGHT stuff out there, you just have to use quality components with the correct design (which I feel I can say with my EET background).

did you read about what he said?
It is about the turn signal bulb and it's only about those L.e.d bulbs. We are not talking about the Led tail light on the Z.
Plus, the tail light on the Z, and any other L.e.d tail light+signal combo on other cars are bright because they are a bunch of them and they are behide the red covers.
A single LED "bulb" will not put out as much light during the daytime as an LED array (such as the '06 tails) would. Also depending on how the bulb is designed, in most cases the bulb only shines in one direction away form the housing. This is in contrast to a conventional signal bulb, which shines in all directions when illuminated, (and into the reflective housing) which is why it doesn't appear to be as bright during the daytime. I personally wold recommend replacing the enitre asssembly versus just the bulbs. It could be pricey, but the end result is a "true LED" setup that will in turn outperform the traditional setup, as well as the LED bulb replacement.
Take a look at these. Like I said they're a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for, if you're willing to pay for it.

Here's a pic of them installed

And one more for good measure

superbrightleds.com has some 3W single led's they claim to be extemely bright but would definitely question their quality. they're about pushing as many bulbs out the door so i can't point you to a place that sells "quality" leds. i saw the clearcorners.com sidemarkers for the g35 and honestly, they look freakin' cheap (for the price) when they're off. i'm hittin' up cincitydesigns to see if they can recommend something.
