Turn Signals On While Driving?
Sorry to start a new thread but i cant find it anywhere? does anybody know how to keep the front turnsignal bulbs on while driving and then blink when u turn the signal left or right? ive seen this done but have No F#$&#in idea how to?
use a NORMALLY CLOSED relay to pass 12v to the bulbs. Then use the original 12v power wire as your signal wire to the relay.
When you turn on the car, the lights will illuminate. When you hit the blinkers the relay will cut power to the lights when theyre supposed to blink normally. youll still end up with blinking tho.

It depends on how the signals are wired, you will have to investigate that.
I suspect the one side is grounded, the other side is connected to the blinker signal which flashes between ground and 12V when the blinker is blinking.
If this is the case, all you have to do is change the side that WAS continuous ground to switched(ignition) 12V.
Clear as mud?

This is how you should wire it up. Fairly easy. The top picture is how it is currently wired. The bottom picture is how you should wire it. Take the power wire for the lights, on my 07 it's green with a white tracer and connect it to the control side of the relay (pin 85), and ground the other pin for the relay coil (pin 86). Run B+ (ignition switched) to the relay (pin 30) and run wire from relay (pin 87a) to the light where the green/white wire used to be. Done. There will be another pin on the relay number 87, just leave that one alone, it is not needed. These numbers are assuming you use a standard Bosch relay.
Light will have power at all times, and when the turn signal is turned on, the flasher will power the relay, which will cut power to the light. It will blink opposite the rear blinker, but still accomplish your goal.
See attached for pic.
EDIT*** Without being able to personally perform these steps, I take no responsibility if something goes wrong due to inexperience, or any mistake you may make. Mod at your own risk.
