If your under warranty, try it. What the worst thing that could happen?

Guys, I've talked about this many times dating back to 04. There are threads showing that show headlights cracking without any kind overlays! This has been an issue with Nissan dating back to 03 and exists even now! Some say its the Lexan Nissan uses. Now, are Overlays the cause for people without them? Some say the overlays may be speeding up the process? maybe, no one really knows. I had them on my Z as well as many others in our club with no cracking at all. I know Nissans covered cracked headlights under warranty. In fact, there is a thread with owners of 06 or 07's with cracking headlights that have no headlight overlays at all, where Nissan replaced under warranty.

Again, I'm not stating Overlays are not the problem, just stating that there are people out there without any headlight protection or overlays that have had the issue.

I have this on my UK spec 2008 & I have *never* used any overlays. Spotted it 2-3 weeks after purchase (new from a dealer) & had hardly been out in it. Definate fault - take it back to the dealer & don't tell them about using overlays & you can site me as another affected owner.
