Default No Clearcoat!

Hey guys, I had my body shop paint my rear bumper, but I don't think they ever clear coated it because when I was there, it was still hanging outside in the sun waiting to be dried. However, that's what I'm assuming though... Can anyone please tell me how a non clear coated piece would look as opposed to clear coated? Also, can I apply the clear coat myself if it wasn't already clear coated?

what color car do you have? If you have black or red, they could have done a single stage and you wouldn't know the difference for the most part. edit: I checked your profile and you have PPW which has a separate clear coat. The paint would have a noticably flatter sheen to it if it isn't cleared

the paint would look dull and not shiny?? as for applying clear coat on your own you may want to rethink that esp. if you have never done it or painted before.

If you see it upclose in direct sunlight, you can actually see a very very thin layer of clearcoat. Im pretty sure they did man, dont worry about it. If your eyes like it, thats all it counts.
