I currently have a friend that might sell me his seats because he wants full racing ones. but I have search and havent seen any with a completed product.

I can have the stock evo brackets rewelded for the Z, but wondering on height, and width of the seat.

Evo 9 MR seats.

just uy my evo x leather recaros! they fit well. im contempleting if i should swap brackets from my stocks to the evo's ad see if theyll bolt right in. rails are same wdth apart

any update? i'm lookin to get Evo 9 seat for my z too, any can confirm if it does fit? tks

 

i'm gonna go on a hunch and say they probably DONT fit straight in.

passenger side Z seat bracket is higher on the front most left bolt hole, than the rest of the bolt holes (vs the driver seat which is four holes, on the same plane)

any good machine shop in your area can make seat rails/seat bracket... you just have to see if the EVO seat mounts can either be changed/welded to, and or removed completely... most OEM seats, the seat bracket is integrated into the seat frame... some cutting might be required.

How does one deal with any seat airbags?

 

you mean you want to use the SRS side airbag from the EVO seat?

or disable it completely?
disable is fine using resistor method-.. as for using the EVO's airbag, i bet it's a similar signal, but i've never seen it done before...

 

I didnt think the EVO 9's come with a side airbag.....i had an MR and it didnt have it
