Default Head up display for RPM/MPH available?

The BMW 6 series has a head up display to show mph. Their M5 has a specific RPM display showing the actual tachometer and M display. I searched google and found 1 universal HUD for MPH and a few that show RPM via analog. Does anyone know of a model that shows the display like the M5? See video below.

we have it in stock - lets you moniter speed. To do rpm you need the control unit. Also via the control unit you can then moniter various other functions such as oil pressure, egt, oil temp, etc with the purchase of optional sensors

I saw that one, the new model to replace the Defi Concept. I don't like that as much. I'm looking for one that projects it on the windshield. Are there any others?

That thing looks like something out of a fighter jet. Pretty awesome... But I wish tehre was one that didnt require you to stick anything on the glass. Something like the ones on the M6 or Z06

I think there are some that mount on the dash, that's what I am after. I would settle for one that suctions to the windshield if I had to. But I really do not like that screen VSD X.

On the older pontiacs with the HUD, you needed a special windshield. Probably on the vette and bmw too. Otherwise, it wouldn't reflect back to you. Unless there is a windshield coating you can get, you'll have to stick with a screen of some sort.

Glass is glass really. I work at BMW. As far as I know, there is nothing special for our 6 series to help relect, just a nice HUD technology. I would think that as long as the unit is at the correct angle, it will have to reflect back a decont amount. I can face my Garmin GPS unit towards the glass and see it clearly in daylight. If the VDS Concept is no longer available, I think I found a decent/cheaper hud unit. I've wanted this HUD for a while now. I may give it a try and report back.
