Default Trunk/boot light replace

I've replaced my interior dome lights with white LEDs, and I like the effect. Now I would like to change out the bulb in the trunk area to an LED also. The dome light covers were easy to remove and I had no problem. So, I note that the cover on the rear light is not as easy. Any hints on how to remove it without shattering? I searched and did not find a thread on this.

OP, list the name/model # of the LED's you used for the dome light. I'd like something a bit brighter than the regular bulbs, to brighten up the cabin...

Sure, I bought them on eBay. They are listed as: Nissan 350Z 18 LED Interior dome light bulb Kit DE3175. The seller was ixaccessories, and charged $20 for 2 LEDs. A little pricey maybe, but since I'm a new "re"-owner of a Z (last one 1990 black 300ZX), I wasn't sure what the market was. So I just ordered. The one I found for the rear boot was from another seller and I paid $8.99 for it, with free shipping. Hope this helps.

Wow those are nice. Now I'm thinking about getting those.

Guess only one bit I'm curious about is the life span of those particular LEDs. Made right, they should last a lifetime but maybe I'll take the plunge nonetheless heh

I've also been looking in here for some 194 replacement bulbs for parking light.

Seems they also have quiet a selection for variety of LED bulbs.
