The title has been changed. I changed it the day I got the PM from lbz but my region of the US has some issues with the ISP so I keep timing out every time I try to do mod duties on the forum and nothing gets done. Anyway, it got changed now.

Well I finally got around to finishing her, and I have to say I'm very pleased. Think I might still change the volume **** to red, but I'm contemplating buying a new head unit.
Enough talking here are the pictures I promised.

Just like to add there was no way in hell I would have been able to finish this project if it wasn't for lbz. Your directions were priceless. You are exactly the type of member that makes this forum community GREAT. Thanks again!

Another thing to look at doing while most of the car is apart is to add some of the carbon looking fabric to some of the pieces of the car. Looks awesome in person. Pictures don't do this stuff justice. Here are some pictures I have now but I will be adding more to the thread https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...ecoration.html later this week.

The weird thing is no, I went with white. Don't know why but the numbers are white with a blueish background. Would be nice if it matched the main gauge with a white background and black numbers.

You could do a polarity reversal on that LCD. I did it the other way around for my odometer. I have an extra piece of reversal strip if you want it. It was cut for the odometer but would probably fit the trip computer LCD if you cut the length to match.
I assume the width is the same for both.
You could always reverse it back (would have to buy another strip though) if it don't work out.
In the interests of continuing to build the knowledge base, I would send it to you no charge. Just pm me an address.

Do you think, if I placed a reverse film on the main gauge lcd it would look like the triple gauge lcd? The blueish tint is starting to grow on me.
I will still try out the film on the triple gauge lcd first.

Hard to say. When I did my main gauge odometer LCD, it did reverse it BUT the background is much more of a black with light blue characters whereas the Center LCD is very blue back ground with light characters. So while they both have dark background and light characters, the backgrounds are not all that much of a match.
I'm actually thinking I need to come up with something that will cut down on the brightness of the center LCD blue background and see what will work to get it darker like the odometer.

You may notice that this thread has shrunk. This is because I've asked the mod to remove off topic posts so that I could update and consolidate all the information.
The tools, supplies and parts list information as well as an Overview have all been added to the first post (and deleted from any other postings).
Postings from others that contributed creative, technical or procedureal information that I had not incorporated into the procedures I posted, have been retained.
Aside from posting information on rocker switches and the dash mounted alarm LED, this procedure project, at least for me, is pretty much wrapped up.
Thanks to all who contributed, helped and supported and particularly 3hree5ive0ero for outstanding moderator support and guidance.
I will continue to post future conversion pics and new info as I get it and as always, the full PDF is availble via PM, just provide your email address.

Great job man. Good things are worth waiting for ,and in the case of this DIY, that saying applies big time. You did an amazing job. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
