I have a 2007 Z and my tail light cracked. Im a little confused when I was searching for a replacement, I have seen companies selling lense and housing for the tail light. So my question is can I just replace the housing or do I have to buy a whole new tail light?

there are no "replacement" covers so it's a whole new light for you. make sure youare getting a OEM LED tail light and not some cheap ebay one.

 

may i ask how it cracked?

 

idk really know. one night either something fell from the sky and cracked it or someone hit it. but that was the only damage. strange

I just washed my '03 yesterday and noticed a four inch long crack right in the middle of my driver's side tail light. Ordered a new one from Courtesy parts, $172 with shipping. I think the extremely cold temperatures we've had lately caused it to crack.

 

did you get the led's from the 06+.....

I just thought I'd share my problem, it seems to be a common issue. I like to see everyone's problem in one place. I know it was a dead thread, it's not my first visit to the internet

I got the original '03 model replacement. I didn't want to fork out the cash for both sides.

 

if you were on a budget, that was the way to go....
