Default HID help aiming/pattern?

Having a problem aiming my lights i just replace stock hids with 6k hids.
However i did not remove the whole light essembly just installed the lights bulbs no mods or anything just light bulbs. Well i have tried aiming them with the screw provided but seems like im getting nowhere.
My question is the lightbulb (hid) strip suppose to be at dead top center?
I may have put them in with a tini slant.
And are they suppose to go more in?
I dont know? Im just throwing things out.

Here are pics provide however it was with my phone. But you can see what im talking about here: Oh by the way i have searched and searched!! Any help is good thanks!

You might have put the retaining clip on the wrong way. It looks like a bent paper clip, I had the same problem with my 06 lights. I had the retaining clip on backwards, I had no idea why my lights were so weak looking, (it looked similar to your pics). Anyway the problem was that with the clips on the wrong way the bulb wont sit in the projector housing right. Try that, hope it helps.

Sorry forgot to put the ending result.
Thanks Prone and Dallas.
It was the clip i guess i rushed and put them in crooked.
Then i adjusted the aim and they are golden now!
