Lightbulb Flip keys

Do these actually work?
Anybody had experience with them? I like the convenience of it and the look but I wonder how complicate it is get it cloned.

Why does it say "Ebay.ca" ? Is that the international site or something?

Ya, but this one says you dont have to take any parts from your original?

Just get key cut and remote programmed.

i believe its been tried, and the new transponder chip will not stay programmed correctly or not work entire.. plus cost of reprogramming is an arm and leg. that is why the diy was made how it was.

I've had my flipkey programmed and cut since Jan of this year and it's been working flawlessly. I've dropped it a couple times and it still looks new We'll see how long it lasts. I don't drive my car that much though lol

Cut was $5. Program was $55, key was $39 or something (forgot) on Ebay. I had to have all my current keys present during the time of programming. I guess they do them all at once or something. I have a slightly different version than the one the OP posted. I have this version:

Read my thread. By the way, don't buy that flipkey, it's a rip off, I got mine for $19.99 USD. I made this about a week and a half ago. It works great, very sturdy and no problems so far. The whole swap takes about 20 min and a trip to the dealership to get the keys cut.

I really like the Rogue key that Evilmexicaninus showed in that thread. Seems like it would hold up a lot better over time. Just my opinion though.

Im now trying to decide which one is better quality....

The one from Honk Kong (square one) Or the one from the guy on G35 Driver (rounded one)

The square one is the only one i have found for $20 shipped...thats a good price. Anybody know where to pick up the rounded for the same price?

Wow thanks so much for this information. You just saved me like 50% of my original target.

I think the reason why the rounded one (the one I have) is a little more expensive is because it comes with the transponder already built in and you'll need to get it reprogrammed.

The square one requires you to cut your current key and move the transponder to inside the square chassis. Either one should be ok; I got the one with the transponder so I can have an additional key to my set incase I should ever lose one.

Good point.

The round one seems to be of better quality than the square...but thats just based on looks in the pics.
