I need something that will protect the bottom of my front bumper while I come out of my driveway. The sidewalk seems to scrape it most of the time, anything I can buy?

unless its really a inverted curb,or a tight driveway, all u need to do is to come down at a angle where your car is almost parallel with the driveway.you could get one of those splitters that bolts to the bottom of the bumper, but that will sit even lower an MAY cause other problems...........gl

Any chance you could post a decent picture of the curb? Is your car lowered? You shouldn't be scraping if it is stock height.

add cement patch to the end of your driveway, a pro can do this well.............lay some overlapping 3/4 inc plywood to ease the angle..........

This makes me question whether or not you own a Z.

edit: Given your name, you may own a G. I can't say anything for them, but I've always had issues with my Z scraping even at stock ride height.

Anything you put on the bumper will decrease ground clearance. You could get inventive, buy some rubber, and glue it to the bumper.

something you attached will likely make it lower, cause it to buckle and damage bumper more than just scraping.
modify driveway
buy a monster truck, put the z in the bed
or party all night, go straight to work and don't go home.

Hmmm. Your post makes me wonder if you live in a house with no city, town, or county regulations. I have a 2006 Touring Roadster dropped about 2 inches on Stance GR+ Coilovers. I do not bottom out on my driveway, even though it is the highest/steepest I've had in my life. I have to go at an angel, but other driveways are not as bad. Maybe Ohio sucks or something?

I also had it in stock height originally and didn't even have to go at an angle. Previous to that, I had a 2005 base model at stock height and never bottomed out on my driveway in 3 previous homes nor any house I visited. Certainly there are some speed bumps that are crazy. I certainly wouldn't drive over a curb either!

Pics of your curb, please?

partying = problem solved

try reverse parking the car instead of parking facing the house. i had that problem too but it doesn't scrape when i reverse park it

Funny you say that, because i have to go face-in onto my driveway only. Backing in and i hit the front, lol.

Lol. Which curb? Hell it doesn't even have to be a curb...some potholes can do it if you're not paying attention. My friend drives a new BMW 325 and hit one and had to replace his tire because he got a bubble. Ohio *does* suck...there really isn't a question there, lol.

I do the same exact thing....Took care of my problem.

However other driveways still seem to be an issue.

Well you can buy a second one to protect it. Personally I would get a third protector to protect the second protector.

I had that problem several years ago with my Dodge Stealth. I couldn't get in or out of the driveway without scraping. I called the County Highway Department and they came out and put a small asphalt ramp at the end of my driveway. After that, I never had another problem. There was no charge either. I have since moved from that house but here is a pictures showing what was done.
You might try calling the highway department...................

I did this awhile back and the bottom of my aerosync bumper is still in good condition. All the scrapes are on the rubber piece.
