Yep, I was skeptical but it worked like a charm.

I thought I remembered hearing about some suede fabric that was easily stretched to make the install easier on another members headliner thread. Was this "butter suede" easy to work with. I really want to do this but want to make sure I have the right supplies before I go attempting this.

Also, what did you guys do for the visor safety sticker part? just paint over it? scrape it off then paint? leave the sticker alone and paint around?

I'm not feeling the suede headliner... It just looks very cheap... Maybe it's just personal preference? I'm trying very hard to like it... Maybe one day I will, but regardless, nice job on the craftsmanship

It is not stretchy at all, but it was still easy to work with. I have decided against wrapping the visor and will just use fabric paint. I plan to paint right over the warning sticker.

In this members thread https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...-threw-up.html he explains that it is very important to choose a fabric that is easily stretchable as so it leaves no creases or any other flaws while wrapping. You say this fabric you used was easy to work with, without being stretchable? Just wanna make sure I get this right the first time

buttersuede isn't elastic or anything, but it's got just the right amount of give to it, I use it whenever I wrap anything, and so far everything's held up just fine. just don't oversaturate with the glue, and make sure it goes perfectly into corners/creases and bends. If it doesn't, after everything "cures", those pieces will start to lift up and you'll have to re do the whole thing.

so spray the OEM headliner, edges, curves and the underside with glue, then apply the fabric?

I sprayed the center 1/3rd of the headliner with glue, applied and smoothed the material. Then sprayed each side 1/3rd one at a time and did the same thing. Then I flipped it over and applied glue to secure the edges to the back.

I agree with be careful not to oversaturate the glue. When I was testing the material out before applying it to the headliner, I used too much glue and the results are pretty ugly and messy. You will know if you have sprayed too much, if it is wet enough to run on the surface, it is definitely too much.

That's right, the material barely gives...as you can see from the pics, it yielded no creases.

cool sounds like its buttersuede and just not too much 3M. First center 1/3 then work your way to the side of the headliner. Thanks

I went to a fabrics store here in Dayton and realized the same thing. Most of the fake suede looks like crap.
