^^ what do you think of the quality of the buttersuede. Maybe this is not the material to buy.

I don't think that is it. The stuff I used did not stretch willingly. It is more likely this - http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Butter...VVviewprod.htm

although the material I got had a non-sale price of $19.99 per yard.
do you know exactly what fabric you used for your liner. I don't want to buy something that doesn't look right once I receive it.

Good find. Sorry about that. The second link is, in fact, the material I used (I remember size was referred to as 58"/61" in the store. The first link says 58"/60"

Thanks for the post

To clarify for everyone, this is what I used: Solid Black Plush Suede Fabric 11.99/yd

well the quality of the buttersude I must say feel very cheap!! not suede-like at all! My current computer chair is made out of suede material so I know what to compare it with. When you slide your fingers across the real suede material, it leaves mark and pattern-like behind, like you can draw your name on stuff on it! On the buttersuede, I can't do any of that, it just silky smooth like nylon material..

I'm gonna return the 5 yards and check out the local fabric store to see if I can find some suede there!

bottom like is do not purchase the buttersuede, if you're looking for real suede material! I know I wouldn't wrap my door panels with this stuff, feels too cheap!!

OP, what did you do with the yellow foam peice on the underside of the headliner? Judging from your pictures, you threw them away right?

lol you got it too? Return it. I bought 5 yards from a local store. Its micro ultra suede and it feels like the real thing!! Already took my headliner, A-pillar apart. Will wrap tomorrow. Got to paint the plastic parts first. Door panels will be later.

The driver's side foam pads were not secured when I removed the headliner, so I removed the other two to wrap then glued back in place.

just got done wrapping... total of 3 hours by myself...

The suede material I got at local store is non-stretch which is very....I mean EXTREMELY difficult to work with on curves and contour. But I dont want to waste them so I have to spent extra hour working on it. For everyone else, I'll 120% recommend you to find some stretchable suede material. It will help you greatly in this project!!

IF you have any glue on the suede material, WD-40 will remove it right off.

Nice!

I got my painted pieces back in a couple hours ago and the look is much improved. That fabric paint turned out really nice, even on the plastic.
